What we have here is damage Galaxy S5 SIM Tray. I have no idea what it was attempted to do here. It clearly shows damaged pin thus the phone does not read SIM card. Before we attempt to repair, we have to check what is around the SIM Tray. Obviously, there is battery connector and flash for the camera. The mic that is sitting on top should not be mattered.
We already disassembled Galaxy S5 and removed logic board from the frame. For detailed Galaxy S5 disassembly guide please search in instruction section or search galaxy s5 in search box.
After apply heat with accuracy, the SIM tray is removed without damaging logic board.
Unlike some other galaxy phone sim card, Galaxy S5 must have SIM tray soldered onto the logic board. There 24 pins that needs to be soldered.
After soldering each pins to the board, SIM tray is set and working!
